If you've not heard of Lean Six Sigma, it is the never ending pursuit to identify waste within your work processes and eliminate or reduce it with the goal of providing the highest value to your customers. Not just a set of process improvement tools, it is a mindset that process improvement can always be made and that the best ideas for it often come from the people that work in the processes. 


It's easy to get lost in the muddle of information about Lean Six Sigma and the glut of "lean consultants".  That said, we at KPC think we do a pretty good job in helping our clients implement Lean and Lean Six Sigma. Our consultants have been-there-and-done-that, so we know what good looks like and we know what not-so-good looks like and how to avoid it.

Level 2: Strategic Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Event Facilitation

At this level we provide expert facilitation and experience to lead your teams in strategically Value Stream Mapping key areas of your business, e.g. specific production lines and business processes with the goal of achieving targeted outcomes. We walk you through the process of:

  1. Current State Value Stream Mapping and Documentation

  2. Current State Analysis and Evaluation

  3. Formalization of Future State

  4. Future State Mapping

  5. Gap Analysis

  6. Creation of Gap Closure Plan

Level 3: Lean Six Sigma Kaizen Facilitation

Sometimes organizations have very specific needs that need relatively quick action. KPC can facilitate the nuts-and-bolts activities of rapid root cause analysis, rapid improvement, and point-kaizen. These activities are usually conducted over 3 to 5 days and following a general outline:

  1. Training, scoping, data gathering and analysis of current state

  2. Countermeasure identification, planning, experimentation

  3. Pilot testing and countermeasure refinement

  4. Standardization and documentation

  5. Change report out to stakeholders
